Solidarity Token

Locally produced, ecologically nurtured food products come at a higher price for many reasons. Local typically means small scale operations, fair labour wages, farming without toxic pesticides and most work done by hand, to name a few. All of these factors contribute to higher food prices. This reality has made it difficult for ELGB to support lower-income families. Fortunately, because we are a co-op, we have a cumulative strength throughout our membership that can be used to help those in need.

Our solidarity tokens can be purchased at any time in any amount and will be directly funding our Solidarity Members who apply for extra assistance.

Whenever you have a few extra dollars consider passing it along to solidify our community food supply even further. Half of the money raised will also go to payback the debt owed to our producer members (learn more here).
