Return, Cancellation and Refund Policy

The quality of our products are inspected as our producers deliver to the warehouse on Aggregation Day. If we are unsatisfied with an item we can refuse to pay the producer and refund the customer. If a product passes the visual inspection at the warehouse and the customer is still not satisfied, we will relay their complaint to the producer and the producer will decide whether or not to refund the customer. If the producer does not respond within five business days Eat Local reserves the right decide to refund the product and not pay the producer.

All orders submitted must be paid for; refunds are not available if you forget an item at the pick-up site, or forget to get your order entirely. Orders may NOT be canceled after store closing Mondays at noon.

Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. With your membership, you acquire a partial ownership of the co-op and voting rights.  During our start-up fundraiser, we are selling multi-year memberships in order to raise money for purchasing equipment and pay staff over the first months.

In the case that our co-operative enterprise files bankruptcy and ceases operation, then the Canadian Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act applies and remaining assets are distributed accordingly. Our members cannot file claims against any of our partnering institution and enterprises.
