We started a vegetable CSA in 2012, growing non-certified produce for a summer share. Over the past several years we have transitioned to growing fewer crops, strawberries, asparagus, rhubarb, sweet corn and pumpkins, that we sell through small scale wholesale, u-pick and farmgate. Fair Fields is located near Neustadt, ON, on the traditional lands of the Missisauga, Odawa and Anishinabewaki.

We have been growing organically since we started farming this land in 2012. 2020 was our first year certified organic through Ecocert. In addition to following organic principles and practices, we are trying to incorporate no and low-till methods, to try to improve our soil life and keep carbon in the soil, as well as reducing our use of fossil fuels for tillage. In an attempt to reduce our use of energy produced off-farm, we are also looking into solar panels and geothermal heating. Along the same vein, we are also hoping to be using draft horses as our main source of draft power, by the 2023 season.
